A Keweenaw Red Rocks?

Aaron Rogers Envisions an Amphitheater Carved in Stone & Big-Name Bands at East Bluff Bike Park

COPPER HARBOR – It wouldn’t be anywhere near the size of Colorodo’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, but as part of Rock Solid Trail Contracting’s planned East Bluff Bike Park, Aaron Rogers wants to bring in big name bands and make people hike, bike, or stay in the park’s campground in order to attend.

As part of a wide-ranging interview last week Rogers, founder of Rock Solid Trail Contracting, described his aspirations to carve an amphitheater into the rocky ridgeline of East Bluff Bike Park. Here’s a video of him unspooling his vision about it.

[Editor’s Note: I recently interviewed Aaron Rogers, founder of Rock Solid Trail Contracting, about his plans for East Bluff Bike Park and his shared/collaborative vision for creating a Keweenaw Landscape Park. I will share pieces of that interview here on my blog and other parts I will be using to pitch freelance stories. Please feel free to suggest other Keweenaw story topics, or contact me with thoughts at travelingbetweenmeals@gmail.com.]
